All external rope halyard flagpoles come complete with appropriate gold ball
pole top ornament, pulley housing (truck), cleat, poly halyard (rope), snaps,
ground sleeve (for installation), and flash collar (except for ECSS and ECS model
flagpoles on which flash collars are optional).
Many customers will enjoy the benefits of our top of the line Internal Halyard
style flagpoles. The main benefits to the internal halyard system are as follows:
- The internal halyard system has a key accessed winch which can only be operated with a removable winch handle. Stainless steel cable travels inside the pole. The rope is not accessible from the ground. This makes it less subject to tampering.
- The internal halyard system dramatically reduces the maintenance cost associated with the pole. External halyards wear in the weather and must be changed periodically (approximately once per year if the flag is flown daily). Internal halyards as used in this flagpole type will last years before needing to be restrung.
- This style is aesthetically more appealing than an external halyard pole which has an outside rope and cleat. No rope hangs on the side of this flagpole. Additionally, the pulley system revolves 360 degrees to prevent most flag wrapping.
Aluminum flagpoles are available in brushed satin, as well as clear, bronze, or
black anodized finishes. Anodized finishes provide a distinctive look to your
flagpole that will not chip, fade, or need painting. Fiberglass flagpoles in a
white finish are also available – great for nautical locations.
